3G and 4G coverage are quickly becoming commonplace and the smart phone is now dominating communication technology. This expansion and popularity in this technology has made social networking even more easily accessible. A LAN or wireless connection are no longer needed to support the internet, and as such, Twitter and Facebook are accessed, updated, and explored on a regular basis more than ever before through the convenience of a phone and data plan.
Because of this change in technology and culture, there is no excuse not to be apart of the social media age. This form of communication is booming, but not peaking. It is bringing about a change in marketing that allows businesses to connect and communicate in a way like never before. Being “Liked” on Facebook or having “Followers” on Twitter has never been more important to a company’s success.
